Welcome to My Queer Lens!

In my blog I will be using the word queer to encompass everyone in the LGBTQI community. I had the privilege of being part of the National Youth Advocacy Coalition in the early ‘nineties. The young people in the coalition came back from a breakout session and wanted to use the word “queer” to welcome everyone in the spectrum of sexual and gender identity. I loved that this came from a group of amazing young activists who would be carrying the torch forward. In honor of them, I use the word queer.
